Lesha Jay Vescio

Lesha Jay Vescio (she/they) is a filmmaker currently living on the unceded, ancestral, and traditional territory of the Musquem people, also known as Vancouver, Canada. She recently graduated with a BFA in film production and minor in French language from the University of British Columbia, and was part of the VIFF Catalyst Program Cohort in 2023. She is currently starting out in the industry as a producer, assistant director and in the art department. Recent film credits include Foreigner (Co-producer) The Grizzly Truth (Set Decorator), Unwavering Word (1st Assistant Director), Supernatural (spot actor), and Another (Writer/ Director). Lesha is a founding member at SrryNotSrry™ Audio-Visual production house, which focuses on music video and independent productions. Lesha is particularly interested in telling unusual stories with haunting and heartbreaking themes. She is very interested in helping emerging filmmakers, especially those whom face barriers in the industry, tell their stories. She hopes to continue to support the indie film community for the next few years as she finds her footing in film and continues to create in this wonderful world we live in.
